Marlene is a 2011 grade buckskin mare, who is ¾ Poco Bueno bred and ¼ Percheron. When a local long time cowboy friend passed away, we took this mare in. These types of hardy ranch horses are worth their weight in gold, and we recognize that a good horse doesn't always have to have a registration attached to him/her. She is an eye catching mare. Although she is technically, grade, she is bred very well, and has beautiful confirmation. We were told she is green broke, but she has not been riden in several years. We have not had any time to try her out. She's good to handle, good in with our herd, a easy keeper, and very healthy. Shame to see her sitting. This big bodied mare would make someone a good mount, if they were willing to restart her. She has a real pretty quarter horse head on her, and a nice hip and shoulder. The draft shows in the feathers on her feet, and in her gait some, but as a quarter horse breeder, we have all said, she's a good looking draft cross. Priced to sell, so someone gets to using her. Nice mare. Or take her home and breed her. She had 2 foals, with her previous owner.
