Handsome is an extremely solid user-friendly rope horse, he is easy going enough for a beginner to learn on and skilled enough for a professional to be competitive. He’s been Estevan’s personal horse for the last year – you can count on him in any setup. Quiet in the box, he scores easily, rates cattle and gives you the same shot every time. Handsome has been enjoyed by our whole family (and friends) – he’s everyone’s favorite to rope on from kids to 8s. Rock solid, Handsome doesn’t require any tuning. If you didn’t ride him for months, you could load him in the trailer and use him at a jackpot – he’s still going to do his job. Well broke, Handsome rides soft in the bridle and moves readily off your leg. He has a smooth trot that is easy to sit. He has smooth lead departures and lopes soft collected circles both directions. Handsome will stop on a dime if you whisper whoa. His quiet personality makes him the perfect family horse that everyone can enjoy being around. Equally handy outside the arena, Handsome is up for whatever adventures the day brings. He strides out with an easy walk and is sensible about life. He has been out alone and with other horses, it makes no difference to this gentleman. He’s cowy and makes quick work out of bringing the steers out of the pasture. Surefooted and careful out on a trail, he makes every ride enjoyable. Crazy dogs, farm equipment, four wheelers – he’ seen it all. Standing a versatile 15 hands, blessed with solid bone and an attractive stock horse build, he has the conformation to last a lifetime. Handsome is an easy keeper that requires no special treatment. Content in a stall or turned out in a pasture with other horses, his easy-going temperament helps him settle into new places quickly. Handsome has the best ground manners, he is a complete gentleman to shoe, bathe, clip. He’s friendly and enjoys attention of any kind, especially being groomed. If you just point him at the trailer, he willingly hops in ready to roll. He is patient when tied up and will quietly wait wherever you leave him. We have enjoyed having this easy-going gelding in our barn and would welcome the chance to introduce you to him before the sale. Please call Estevan at (505)450-5519 to chat about him anytime
