I never thought I'd be faced with having to sell this absolutely amazing horse. But I was diagnosed with lyme disease, after some time of holding onto the hope of being able to compete again, I am faced with the reality that I can no longer do so. My body will never be the same, I am no longer able to compete anymore. I am only interested in finding him a good home, not cooped in a stall for the rest of his life. I have always pastured my horses together and wish that he can continue to have that kind of life with his new family. Price is negotiable to the right home. I have lived, trained and competed in multiple countries and owned/ridden many horses. Nikko has by far been the most exceptional, talented and intelligent of them all. He has been trained in dressage (proficient level 4), show jumping (up to 1.30cm), cross country (up to prelim), working equitation, casual western, trail riding and extensively trained in horsemanship. He is not for a novice or child, he is a highly competitive and requires a rider with a "boss" mentality as he is rider dependent. He needs to feel that his rider is a strong figure of authority and confidence, if you have the right attributes, he will give you whatever you ask, flawlessly without question, go anywhere you ask no hesitation. So with the right person, he will give you all that he has and bring home the ribbons. He has done and seen a lot, he is competent enough that I was going to take him to a police horse training site prior to my illness. I got him from his original owner and have had him most of his life, I have invested an immense amount of money and time into this horse, my loss is your gain. He has great confirmation, strong chest and hind, he can sit back effortlessly, change leads, pivot etc. Despite his breed, he moves with such grace and elegance that he could purely be a dressage horse, but he loves to jump. He tucks his legs nicely, doesn't over jump, extremely agile, plenty of scope for greater heights or the elegance for hunter jumper, though I have never tried him in that. He is very much a pleaser, but isn't dull or boring, plenty of spirit in this horse, he will make you laugh for sure. He is the kind of horse that even if he hasn't been ridden in months, you can hop on and do whatever without a problem. Great with farrier, hot shoeing, loading, chiropractic etc. He is priced lower than his worth because due to my health, he has been out of ridden work for a minute. He is still in good shape, still getting regular chiropractic + body work, has been kept moving but just not properly ridden. So if you are to come try him, he cannot be jumped.
