Bree is a 2010 APHA registered dunskin overo paint. Not for beginners, but would fit an intermediate or advanced rider. We bought her as a 4-H and Ohset mount, looking for a little all around horse but she has proven to need more refreshing than advertised in order to be show ready for the multiple disciplines I am competing in. So we have hit a road block with her. She has a good foundation, walk trot is awesome, but loping has posed a problem as she tends to be rushed and unresponsive to her rider. Trailering can be hit and miss. She will load just fine most days, but sometimes it takes a little patience, and she will not back out of a trailer. She has the foundation to back out I just havent had the time to refresh her. She hauls like a dream, ties, and bathes without fuss. Even with her quirks, she has not buck bolted or reared. She has been a super fun trail horse as she really enjoys trails and has the smoothest nicest walk you will ever ride. We took her camping and she did awesome was the first one through the giant culvert we had to walk through. She tends not to enjoy arena work as much and gets bored with the same scenery and rushes her lope.. I had bought her to work in the arena, and since she doesn't enjoy it, she is not a good fit. I do not have time to work with her the way she needs as I have several horses and two colts I am riding as she is more of a project than thought in regards to refreshing her on her original training. When it's all said and done, I truly love this mare and it breaks my heart to even consider selling her but she deserves to be someones number one mount and have her forever person. She is too good of a mare and has too much potential to be on the back burner and sit in the pasture. I want to see her excel with someone who she connects with.
