EXCELLENT Husband, Grandpa or Grandma Gelding 15.2h - 15.3h QTR Big Boned 16 years old UTD vaccinations, teeth Good for Farrier and Vet Good on Trail (Group or Alone) or Ride in Ring Walks through water puddles and streams as though they are invisible. Auto loads in trailer/Point him at a trailer… he Loads No buck, rear, bite or kick EVER Stands patiently while being tacked up More Whoa than Go Leg Yields, Open/Close Gates, Backs Up Will Tie/Cross Tie Videos available This gelding was pulled from a kill lot It looks like he was a ranch horse or maybe a dude ranch horse. Don’t really know what his story is. He is broke, broke, broke and becoming my first pick for a relaxing trail ride or putting a friend/family member on him if they know nothing. Refreshing to get on a horse that knows his job instead of one of my 3-year-old ‘BOTTLE ROCKET’. When I pulled him from the lot, he was about 350 pounds underweight. I put all my horses in quarantine (NO EXCEPTIONS) until I can get them assessed. He was tested at 14 days and then again at 28 days and had no infection or strangles (I hate strangles). Then fully vaccinated and then transported to California He has put on a lot of weight, yet his top line (only on his withers) still could use a few pounds. I had his teeth floated so his age has been verified by three vets to be 16 years old. We have a private club where I live where they have cattle. I took him up there and he cared less about the cows. He did perk up a bit, so I think he thought I was going to put him to work for which I did not. I can’t tell you enough great things about this horse. And everyone who is in contact with him loves this horse. My husband is a big guy and loves riding him as well. Our daughter put her friend’s 4-year-old little girl on him (they rode double) and the toddler demanded to steer him. She was able to stop him with no trouble and turn him around. He is very responsive and a good mouth. Closes gates (side passes), spins on command, good stop, backs up, etc. We ride him in a D-Bit with no problem. We had lots of rain in February, and he walked right through the streams/puddles as if they were invisible. Anyway… that is his story. Adoption fee is 100% Tax Deductible
