Spud spent several months in cutting training with Roy Oliver, learning basic maneuvering and flag work. He’s been trail ridden both solo and in groups, and has some experience in 2-man sorting. His training shows great promise for cow work and he loves arena work and would excel in ranch riding and rail classes. His good looks and nice gaits would definitely get the judges attention.

Whether in a group pasture or alone, Spud is exceptionally easy to handle. He’s calm and safe for riders of all ages and experience levels—from total beginners to seasoned riders.

Spud excels in the arena with smooth walk to lope transitions, reliable neck reins, and excellent lateral work. He also displays a good whoa and roll back when needed.

He rides well with a snaffle bit, shank bit, or even just a halter. Spud is sound, stands great for bathing and clipping (even his ears), and the farrier.
