Roman is a 4-year-old OTTB (will be 5 soon). We've had him for about a year after getting him from a racing barn in Kentucky as an eventing prospect. He is the sweetest lovebug of a boy. He just always wants to be with you and LOVES attention. We think Roman would excel in dressage. He has picked up the fundamentals for dressage with ease but is still figuring out how the jumping and cross country work. Willing but still young and figuring it out. We have several prospects in the works and believe he might do better in a home that can let him develop at his own pace or isn't set on eventing. Not a kicker, stands great for vet/farrier. Cross ties, grooms, and gets tacked up patiently. Though he is a good boy, he would not be suited for a green rider. He will occasionally get bouncy in his stride or throw a small kick out under the saddle while he figures out which leads to pickup or change. Needs a confident and experienced rider. Has been off property a few times, to trails, the ocean, and competitions, and did great. Took him to a Foxhunt in October and he was great. Trailers like champ. Is currently barefoot since our current riding is indoor area but we have been using glue on shoes for him when we are more active off-property. Though we have decided to part with him, we love this horse so much so a good home is a must. We will only sell him if we think it is the right fit.
