Finn is a gorgeous boy out of VS Crack the Code (out of VS Code Red). We have the breeder's papers from the stallion and the dam if you would like to pursue registering him. Finn was given to us when the original owner couldn't afford to keep him and wasn't able to handle him. He had some rough ground manners to work through but has done great since we got him over a year ago. He is a sweet boy and smart. Curious but not spooky. We let him go to pasture over the summer/fall after his gelding to mature, grow, and learn to be with other horses (had only been with a dam until we got him). The good: He is gorgeous in the summer when he sheds out. Before having him gelded end of winter 2024 we had saddled him and put a rider up a few times. He wasn't phased at all by either entity. He is smart and learns quickly. We think he'd do great with a trainer who has the time to work with him regularly. The bad: He's 3,...if he doesn't get a decent turnout he gets uppity on the lead line, not for novice handlers. Easily corrected by a confident handler. Would do great at a location that offers a runout or daily turnout. When we can get him out for a few hours each day we have no problems. He can be a tad food-aggressive. A little pushy in the stall and will threaten to kick if you try to be near the back end when he's eating. Overall we think he'd make a wonderful prospect for someone who knows how to work with young horses and get them started. We've let him grow and cared for him, but we have too many prospects that we are working on to dedicate the time he needs to excel. Though we have decided to part with him, we love this horse so a good home is a must. We will only sell him if we think it is the right fit. We are listing him as "Unbroke" but we will be putting a saddle on him shortly and working on that process. Price will increase with training so grab him now!
