Available May 7-10 at Chrome in the Canyon Premier Mule Sale held in Tropic, UT. PremierMuleSale.com Are you looking for that golden ticket to take you places you’ve always wanted to go? Look no farther, meet Sancho. He is a stunning golden palomino john mule that has a sweet and gentle personality. Sancho is 5 yrs old and at a nice height of 15 hands with a stout build. We had the pleasure to do all the training with owning him since he was 2 yrs old. He comes from the famous Rafter CF breeding program in Iowa. The sire of Sancho is Copyright’s Infrenchment and the dam is an AQHA mare “How D Skip N Queen”. Sancho’s gentle and calm demeanor along with his training makes him suitable for many levels of riders or coachman. Yes, you read it correctly, not only is he very well trained to ride English and Western, but he is also trained to pull a cart by himself or with a teammate. We have trailered Sancho many miles to different environments such as Ranch Rodeo competitions where we would rope, sort, and doctor calves, we hauled him to go trail ride in all kinds of terrain for the weekend, we have hauled to mule shows and competed in many events, we have even used him to help round up wild ponies in the mountains of Virginia. With all his experience out on the trails, Sancho is steady going up and down hills, over logs, and through water. He is very willing to try new obstacles whether it is out on trails or in a competition. We have ridden and driven him out on busy roads where we live and traffic doesn’t bother him. Sancho has a really smooth walk, trot, and lope both in the arena or out in the open. He knows his leads, moves off leg cues, and has a nice stop. We use Sancho in our training program to start colts and to work with problem equine. He stays calm, quiet and understands his job. Sancho is easy to catch out in the pasture and gets along well with others. He loads and backs off a trailer with ease. He is good for the vet, farrier, bathing, clipping, and grooming. Sancho has been Leon’s personal mule for the last three years and grown be a barn favorite.
