Meet Santivio Sugar Bar, affectionately known as "Chocolate," a beautiful AQHA-registered mare who is ready to begin her next chapter. Standing at 15.1hh and born on March 27, 2009, Chocolate is a bay mare with a bright and engaged personality. She’s looking for a rider or home where she can continue to develop her skills.
Chocolate is well-mannered on the ground—she stands calmly for grooming, picks up her feet, behaves for the farrier, and loads well into a trailer. She has been ridden under saddle, but her experience is limited, so she is still considered green. As a result, she would be better suited for an intermediate rider or someone working with a trainer to help her build confidence and experience.
She was purchased for an equine program but unfortunately didn’t fit due to her lack of experience. However, she has potential for someone willing to invest in her training. She could also make an excellent broodmare with her solid foundation and pedigree.
Chocolate has been registered with the AQHA, but updating her registration will be the buyer's responsibility. Her sire is Zan Sontivio, and her dam is Hickory Bar Sugar, who boasts Doc Bar in her pedigree—making her a promising prospect for the right person.
Chocolate has no known injuries, but it’s worth noting she has a club foot on her right front. While this does require some attention, she has no major health concerns, and we are happy to provide more information on this issue. We are also open to a pre-purchase exam (PPE) at the buyer's expense with the vet of their choice.
She is UTD on all shots and deworming.
