Dante is a 15 yr old Bay Gelding. Has been used in a non-riding Equine Therapy Program for the last year and a half. Dante is an intelligent, sweet boy who loves attention and connection. He has had a "main person" most of his life but has learned to enjoy having many people to connect with during his recent "job". We believe Dante would make a great lesson horse for youth or adults under 130 lbs due to his Navicular Diagnosis. Dante currently receives an OSPHOS shot 2x a year (every six months) to keep his pain/inflammation at bay. So far, this appears to work well for him and my granddaughter rides him in the arena or soft ground with no issue. We do keep him on a low starch/low sugar diet to minimize any additional inflammation. We don't believe Dante is ready to be retired from being used as a ridable horse, because he enjoys being worked with. He just needs someone within his weight limit capacity. We want to be completely transparent about his condition and needs. Asking $2,500 but price is negotiable. Our main concern is finding him a good home. We believe his perfect person or next job is waiting just around the corner.
