4yo ,Black Tobiano ,Registered Friesian Sport Horse (FSHR) Gelding, 15.3hh
Registered (FSHR) Friesian Sport Horse for consideration. Sire is a Friesian (Clay Ridge Eddie) Dam is a Morgan/ Paint (Lexi).
He has a very sweet in your pocket type of personality. In fact if he could he would totally crawl inside of your pocket. Nevertheless he’s athletic and loves his turnout time with the other young geldings.
He’s been started in western tack, has pushed and sorted cows early on in his training under saddle with no problems. He’s always curious and eager to learn. Has also had pack panniers on and carried them like a champ (we do backcountry rides as well).
He’s currently in training to expand his dressage skills under saddle and he’s been showing great potential. He’s a flashy mover with lots of chrome who’ll steal the show. Can be ridden western and English. I can see his future in the dressage circuit as well as in an all around type of home since he’s very versatile in his skill set.
Has done in-hand dressage work after the principals of French dressage. Knows the fundamentals of Jaw Flexions, stellung, correct bend etc.
Stands quietly and patiently for mounting.
Walk, trot, canter, halt, backing up, turn on forequarters, turn on hindquarters, basic idea of “spin”, side pass, half pass, shoulder in, counter shoulder in ,haunches in.
Easy keeper with great hooves, allover no maintenance, no vices.
New home must be a good fit and understanding of young horses, even though he’s a total sweetheart and an amazing learner, he’s still a young horse and not a seasoned 18yo who’s seen and done everything.
