Meet Nutmeg (aka Nutter butter)
She is a beautiful 5 yo Tennessee Walking horse mare! 15.2-3, she's in your pocket and aims to please. If she doesn't meet me at the gate she comes when called! Always excited for new adventures and moves out beautiful. She has a smooth gait and willing personality, she knows her leg cues, stops, backs, is light in the mouth. She is ready for some wet saddle blankets and trail miles this spring/summer! She also does great in the arena! She's a little on the greener side however, I haven't had much time to get her out before the weather turned, she hauls well and is delightful on trail. She's a goof ball at home and loves to make you laugh! She stands for grooming/saddle brings her head down for the bridle, she goes sound barefoot, stands for mouthing, utd on vaccinations and teeth. Only downside is she can be a little spooky with new things or looky in new places but she works through it quick and settles right down. She's not finished and needs a intermediate rider or up preferably working with a trainer that's familiar with gaited horses. Shes Good with kids, dogs, and loves to meet new people! She's sheds out into this beautiful chocolate brown when the warm weather rolls in. She is one of those horses that needs consistent work to stay in shape and keep her sharp on her skills at least for the time being, however if she sits she's never cold backed just needs some work in the round pen or on the lunge line for a few days before she's ready to go.
It really hurts my heart to let her go but she isn't what I need and I've come to realize I'm not a gaited horse person. I've taken her as far as I can and now I want her to go to someone that can take her even further! I want someone to love this horse even more than I did! I've had her the majority of her life since she was 2 years old and I want her to spend the rest of her life with her next owner. She is possibly registered by her previous owner but you would have to contact TWHBEA about getting a DNA sample.
