Meet Yote, a sweet 6-year-old Belgian cross with a Quarter Horse. Yote has a charming personality and loves to smile for a treat. He’s easy to handle, allowing you to pick up all four feet and does great for the farrier. He loads into the trailer without any trouble and stands while tied. You can bridle and saddle him but is still pretty green broke. Yote has a strong bone structure and impressive height of 16+ hands. He’s a natural when it comes to water and has been ridden in the Forest Service while herding cows a few times he was a bit jumpy when by himself. I’ve spent a lot of time desensitizing him, and he’s walked across a low flatbed trailer with ease. He climbs steep mountains like it’s nothing. This horse would make an excellent ranch horse for an experienced rider who can continue his training, as well as a fantastic pack horse—whether you pony him or let him run freely behind you. Yote is a quick learner and a real sweetheart, but he still needs further training. He’s looking for someone confident and experienced to finish his training and help him reach his full potential. He is up to date on vaccinations and deworming and takes both dewormer and shots with ease. I’m only selling because I need to downsize.
