Wapitis Espre, barn name Rafiek, is a 19 year old registered half Arabian/Appaloosa gelding located in Decatur, AL. With his liver chestnut color and beautiful blaze with hind socks, you definitely can not miss him in a crowd. Rafiek came along during a time in my life 5 years ago when I really needed a confidence boost, and he was exactly what I needed. At this point, I am now looking for a horse that I can continue advancing up the levels in Western Dressage so I am offering Rafiek up for consideration as he would prefer to stay at lower levels.

This horse is safe, safe safe. His years of experience combined with his natural laid back personality is perfect for the timid rider. He is an amazing trail horse, will cross anything or go anywhere asked. We have traveled all over the Southeast through the years going to rides and shows and he is the same horse off property as he is on property. We have shown in intro level classic and western dressage, Trail/obstacle classes, Sporthorse in Hand and Sporthorse under saddle. We’ve also done a lot of liberty work, and he loves to play. Rafiek self loads in both slant horse and two horse straight load trailers, he clips, ties, stands for farrier, and is an easy keeper. I can’t say enough good things about him and letting him go is difficult for me, but I do not have the time to devote to him and a new horse. He is one that craves attention and wants to be with his person. Rafiek does not require any maintenance, he has always been well cared for and loved, even before coming to me. I am an equine massage therapist and I do give him monthly massage sessions and I’m also a saddle fitter so all of his saddles are fit to him. I do want him to continue to have a saddle that is fitted to him. In preparation of rehoming him, I just had a full set of X-rays done to show people that are seriously interested in him.
