Stetson is a drop dead gorgeous spotted saddle horse gelding standing at 16HH. We have personally had Stetson for 6 years since my daughter was 10. Before that, my aunt bought him as a foal from a lady that breed him for mounted shooting. Stetson has been trail ridden his whole life all over Missouri and Illinois. He is rock solid in the woods, I trust him on any trail. He really loves people, loves the water, and will come to you when called. He’s a very easy keeper and hasn’t had any injuries besides a couple stitches for a cut. We put shoes on him spring-fall then he goes all winter without shoes. He stands great for the farrier and vet. He loads/unloads great in a trailer, he stands at the mounting block or fence for you to get on, and he’ll go to the gate for you to open/close it while still on him. He does great in parades. He does fine around side by sides, dogs, chickens, and goats. He has always been kept in a pasture. He can trail ride out alone or in a group with any kind of horse. He is a very fast walker so he likes to be a leader on the trails. If you are a person that wants the flashiest horse on the trails, then Stetson is the horse. He always gets compliments on how pretty he is. We have truly loved having Stetson and I’ve been putting off listing him for 2 months. The only reason we are selling him is because my daughter wants a barrel horse. He is up to date on the farrier, dental work, & vaccines. He also comes with a current negative Coggins. You are more than welcome to come try this horse out in person. He does require a heavier hand sometimes so he would do best with an experienced rider but my husband who doesn’t ride much does fine on him in the parades and on trail rides.
