Located in Queen Creek, Az Blizzard’s Southern Freckles “Apollo” is a 2019 ivory champagne Missouri Fox Trotter. He stands 15.3h and tapes at roughly 1300 lbs. He is blind in his right eye. Apollo was bred at Rokn’T Foxtrotters out of Missouri. He had a ton of trail miles while out in Missouri. Apollo has been in my barn for the past 45 days. He will greet you at the gate of his stall or turn out. He’s the low man on the totem pole and doesn’t cause problems with his neighbors. He’s easy to handle on the ground and will back easily, lunge, roundpen and go over obstacles. Because he’s half blind he just needs a little extra help on his right side. Under saddle he’s a work horse! He will go all day and likes having a job. He’s soft and bendy, especially for such a big horse. Because of his age and work drive, I’d recommend a home that will put him to use and work him regularly. Apollo is light and sensitive to leg cues. He can yield his forequarters, hindquarters and side pass. Apollo’s weakest spot under saddle is the lope. Like a lot of gaited horses, he struggles to hold it and will break into a pace. Apollo has a half set of shoes on that were just done 3/18 and is ready to get to work with his new owner. Seller is motivated to get him in with his new owner while the weather is still nice enough to ride! Vet checks welcome at buyer’s expense.
