Saoirse has been the most wonderful horse I've ever owned. Our last 7 years together have been such a blessing, but due to my financial situation, I am forced to find her a new home. She does small jumps, has extensive dressage training, loves trails (with a buddy), was originally started western, loads, stands perfectly for the farrier (goes barefoot), bathes, stands for grooming, etc. I ride her in a hackamore, but she can go in a snaffle, halter, and has some neck rope training. She is perfect at liberty and loves groundwork. I'd recommend an intermediate or competent beginner rider as she isn't forgiving with hard reign pressure, etc. My favorite thing about her is that I can hop on her bareback after months off, and she is just as good as she was the last time I rode her. She's been more or less out of work for several years as I haven't had the time or interest, but with ample turnout, has been able to keep in shape well. She's done great on leadline and at the walk with children, but I am not sure I would consider her a child's pony. She takes a gentle hand and a relationship of mutual understanding to be successful. I am interested in an off-farm care lease if the right situation pops up. She is very attached to her "brother," and an ideal situation would have them ending up somewhere together.
