Nevaeh is a grade, late-teen to twenty-ish mare that came to AAE through law enforcement in late-2024 after she was abandoned on someone's property. She was seized as a stray, and we were asked to help. When she arrived, she was thin and needed basic care (i.e., dental and hoof care, vaccines, and deworming), and she got a microchip. We didn't get any training history since she came through law enforcement as an abandoned horse. This beautiful mare is uncomplicated. She's sweet, enjoys attention, and easy to handle (i.e., halter, lead, grooming, hooves, & trailering). She transitioned into a pasture herd without issue. We've done some brief saddle work; she wasn't a fan, initially. Nevaeh's first ride was a great surprise! Not only was she very calm and quiet, she was responsive and confident. She's a little bit rusty, but all in all, she did very well. She walked over a tarp confidently, and she moved through the ride willingly. She seems to have a very nice foundation to build from. Her biggest issue at this point is handling her hind feet. She's not horrible, but she can be a little impatient, occasionally.
