Kohano aka “Hano” is a gorgeous 2015 Grey Azteca gelding. Standing at 14.3 hh, Hano has beautiful legs and feet (barefoot), a sturdy build, and is always ready and willing to take you where you want to go. From week long camping trips up in the mountains- to town trails around traffic, dogs, farm equipment, bicycles, motorcycles, etc- Hano is quiet, cool, and a go with the flow guy with many hours on the trails. He is a seasoned trail horse with experience in the high country, lakes and rivers, the ocean, and on town trails. He goes out alone or in a group with no issues and is considered seasoned and not a spooky horse.
Hano is a sweetheart, loves attention, and is a willing partner. He is easy to catch, has excellent ground manners, stands tied quietly for grooming, tacking up, etc and LOVES being with people.
Hano stands for mounting and dismounting, has smooth gaits with transitions, and a beautiful canter. He rides both English and Western, has some dressage training and goes over jumps with ease.
He moves off of leg pressure, direct and indirect rein, and side passes/opens, closes gates.
On the trail, he is sure-footed, has a smooth way of moving, and can really get around in tougher country. He is safe for steep terrain, through water, and has seen lots of turkeys, deer, quail, etc to hikers, bicyclists, crowds of people, and dogs. He is accustomed to noises, sights, and sounds on trails from the mountains to town. He has been in several parades, carries a flag, has many hours of sensory training (tarps, bags, flags, etc), and is not a spooky horse.
