Sweet, sensitive, super fun girl, very trainable. I love this pony and will be careful about matching her to the right home or barn. She’s been worked with several times/week over winter: -Nice to handle on the ground -Leads nicely and does not pull, my timid 9yo daughter can lead and groom her. -She is not nippy, mouthy, no kicking, not pushy at all. -Ties and crossties. Will get impatient and paw if tied for long periods. -Loves attention and being groomed. -Currently lives in gravel paddock attached to open stall, pasture turnout 1/2hr per day, fed local hay. Extensive groundwork and pre-riding done: -Gives easily to light pressure -Side passes/pivots/backs in hand -Gives to bit pressure when long lined in snaffle or ground driven with harness (no cart yet) -Saddled and lead with a rider at a walk -Lunges, nice W/T/C/whoa transitions on the line -Introduced to trot poles and canter pole, free jumped over crossrails -Led on our forest trails alone, over logs, and footbridge. She likes the trails. -Sound solid hooves, never foundered, hooves wear evenly, barefoot, stands great for farrier -Healthy, her only issue is she gets sweet itch in summer -Comes with her full fly sheet and fly mask, Weatherbeeta turnout sheet, driving harness, and bridle. Not for beginner child at this time as she is forward moving and not fully broke to ride. She can slow down/whoa and is sensitive to cues. She will make a wonderful kid’s pony in the future, just needs more time! Reason for letting her go: I am just too big to actually train her to ride and none of my kids have the “horse bug”.
