D-M Sierra Moonlight is an 8 year old mare registered with Gypsy Vanner Horse Society standing 14 hands high. Sierra is the trail horse everyone dreams of. She is happy to go out alone or can be ridden in a group and is unfazed by other horse's shenanigans. Opens and closes gates, crosses water and ditches with ease. Loves to herd cows or sheep. She is not bothered by crazy dogs or screaming children. She is great in any new environment and trailers with ease. Sierra has lovely ground manners, perfect for the vet, farrier, good to catch, trots off the side by side and is gun broke. Straight ties, cross ties, loves baths and enjoys being groomed. Quiet in a stall and is excellent in a herd environment.
Sierra has a very nice handle in the arena, neck reins, picks up both leads and stops off of your seat, but is not necessarily “finished”. She is quite fun to ride because she is not a complete kick ride and has some good forward energy and as a result she is not for a complete beginner. She is safe, sane and sound. She is currently barefoot with excellent feet and is an easy keeper. We believe she will would be best suited for an avid trail riding home for someone who wants a horse willing to do whatever you want wherever you want whenever you want.
