Sweet mare ISO best home
Miss Hilary (Missy) is a sweet girl with a lot of life left. OTTB 16 hands. Great trail horse. Does not show her age of 21, she can walk laps around the rest of the group. Does prefer a buddy to go with, but will go out alone. First one to greet you in the field. Solid W/T/L, responds well to leg pressure. Good stop/whoa, not real spooky. We have done a little bit of everything with her except jumping (her previous teenage owner did some of that with her, low level) trails, cow sorting, gaming, overnight camping. She likes her space with some horses and others she doesn’t care at all, therefor we ride with a red ribbon on her tail. Has WAHSET experience but wouldn’t say she excels there. She would need more consistency to do that type stuff but is willing.
Great feet but we do put front boots on for longer trail rides. Excellent standing for trims.
Con: she is a cribber, doesn’t bother her and has never caused her any health issues other than wear on her front teeth.
Up to date on vaccines, due next in Aug.
She was used for WAHSET last year, she tends to get a bit anxious in the big arena by herself, nothing dangerous and I believe the right older kid/person could work her past it. She did some gaming and can be fast but again she gets anxious, I think with consistency she could get better. She would be a project for an older kid/person wanting to do these sorts of things. She does best with a gentle hand.
