To be in the presence alone of this gelding is truly something special, a ONCE in a lifetime horse. We couldn’t be more proud to offer SJR Diamond Run, a 2017 gelding sired by CD DIAMOND and out of an own daughter of Smart Little Lena. The 2012 NRCHA Open Futurity Champion, CD Diamond, is a million dollar sire and an earner of $153,000+.“Queso” stands 15 hands and is as one of the most beautiful horses we have had the pleasure of owning. He is a true dream horse with a mane that flows past his shoulder and a gorgeous thick tail to match. Queso is a conformationally correct, heavy built gelding with a big hip and shoulder.
Fully trained in all maneuvers, Queso is push button, he has been enjoyed by seasoned professionals to the most inexperienced riders. He is a huge stopper, lay your rein on his neck and say “whoa” he will give you a big deep slide stop every time. Queso is automatic, he has great spins, circles on a draped rein, and is extremely confident yet attentive to his rider. Queso has been successfully shown in the reining cow horse. He is automatic and loves to work, effortless lead changes, flawless transitions and is extremely soft in every way. He always aims to please and gives 100% try in every task that is thrown his way. Queso will work a cow, take one down the fence and has been started in the heeling, showing great promise. Queso would be a true standout in Ranch Versatility classes as well. Truly a point and go, Queso will cross any bridge, downfall, logs or water with ease, all while being attentive to where his feet are. He has been introduced to the ranch to gather, sort and ship cattle. His first day on the ranch you would’ve had no idea he was “the show horse” of the bunch! He is extremely good minded, quiet and loves to work!He is the one we call on no matter how inexperienced the rider is, Queso has packed kids of all ages on the trail, and in the arena. He is extremely patient and forgiving, and a huge confidence builder, no matter how much time he’s had off. Queso genuinely loves people, he will literally run to meet you at the gate. He is a dream to clip, shoe, bathe, haul, etc. and just genuinely loves attention. We absolutely adore this gelding, he is in the prime of his life and ready to make someone’s dreams come true!
