✨ 2013 AQHA Grey Mare – Trail Experience ✨
Meet Gracie – "I'm A Rodeo Star Gal"
Gracie is a stunning 15.1 hand, 2013 AQHA-registered grey mare looking for her next partner! She has trail experience and would be best suited for an advanced beginner or above. She likes to test her rider at first to see what she can get away with, so she needs someone who can be confident and consistent. She is not dangerous by any means, just pretends she doesn't know how to steer and checks to see if you will get firm enough to make her do it.
She seems to enjoy the trails and is good with traffic, ditches, and deer; other nervous horses don't bother her; she also goes out easily on her own. She just walks along, checking out the scenes with a level head on a loose rein.
She does need some work on her canter, specifically learning to collect and smooth it out, so she’d be a great match for someone who enjoys a light project. However, if you're primarily looking for a steady trail partner and don’t plan to do much cantering, she’d fit that role well!
✨ Personality & Training Notes:
✔ Willing and responsive once she respects her rider, not hard to earn, just need someone
with previous horse experience.
✔ Very well-mannered on the ground (takes the bit extremely well)
✔ No maintenance needed
✔ No signs of lameness
✔ Has only been ridden a handful of times since August 2024, so she’ll benefit from
consistent riding. She is currently getting a Tune up with the trainer.
