Due to a car accident I reluctantly must sell my mare. I am 69 and only cleared to ride at a walk at this time. In the last 2 1/2 years she has gotten much stronger than me and unfortunately she is no longer appropriate for me as I require a much smaller horse. She is a OTTB and was shown in hunter jumper prior to me purchasing her and was a lesson horse at the barn I purchased her from and was in a lease and lesson program last year at my current barn, She has three lovely gaits and has been shown in hunter on the flat and jumping, She does cross rails, 18” and 2 ft. She has potential for higher with a more experienced rider. Has a lot of go! She raced 3 times and did some eventing prior to becoming a hunter/jumper. As an older rider I just did flatwork and we were starting basic dressage. Would make a great horse for JR or AA and requires an intermediate confident rider. I have her on supplements (joint, hoof and electrolytes) and raspberry leaves. Her only maintenance is shoes and pads on all four hooves. Stormy is 13 years old, 16.2 1/2 hh, beautiful TB bay mare with white star on forehead and 4 black stockings. UTD on vaccinations and coggins. She is kind, loves grooming and treat time, loads well, stands for farrier and vet, good ground manners when tacking up. I was told she trailered well to shows and I had no issues when moving to my new barn and off grounds to jump at another facility with my trainer. She recently had a bad trailer experience when she was picked up for a consignment barn and suffered some cuts. The owner of my barn went to pick her up in a stock trailer and said she went right in and I saw her walk out right behind him when she arrived back at the barn and I have adjusted my price to reflect that. Some negotiating to the right home. Registry paperwork is owned by the farm she was bred at.
