Located in Dunstable MA Lily is a 11 year old ottb that was retired off the track in 2020. She is sweet, kind and goofy. She has a lot of personality she would love to share with someone. She bonds well to her person and tries her hardest to understand what her person wants. She was in barrel racing training but most recently we were working on getting great balance and adjustability. Working on her coming off the seat and leg before reins and really listening to the rider. She is great off property and has done well at local shows. She trailers well and stands for the farrier, baths in cross ties or straight tied. She underwent kissing spines surgery in mid-December and her recovery and rehab is coming along fantastic. She is cleared to start riding again in June (6 months post opt). She is not being rehomed as a current riding horse and we do not know how she will do coming back into work. Before surgery she was light off the leg and bridle and even when uncomfortable she tried to not let it affect her. She trail rode alone but as with any horse would love a friend to ride with. She also loved at liberty time with her owner and excelled at it. She is currently in a full set of shoes but after full rehab she may be able to be without. She currently would make a fantastic companion horse, non-ridden therapy horse, Liberty prospect, or a recipient mare. In the future, once back under saddle she could make a lovely dressage or western dressage horse, flat work or trail horse or Liberty horse. She is being rehomed due to no fault of her own. (Owners health is not allowing her to keep her at the moment). She will be kept rehabbing and will be started saddle if her perfect home is not found by June. Advanced beginner with a trainer or intermediate level rider. Perfect home is a must. Small rehoming fee. Or will consider a donation to a reputable therapy farm. Reach out to myself for more info or to set up a time to meet her.
