Checkers would be a good family horse for just fun riding. She is ok in the ring or out on trails. She is easy to ride and is happy to just walk off. She will w/t and canter, but only if you ask her to. She is almost anyone can ride. I use her for lessons and she has good manners on the ground. She will crosstie, trailers fine and usually kids can tack her up on there own. She would be a good spare mount, as she can sit for a couple weeks or more and rides the same. She is around 12 yrs. old, 15 hands. Very pretty brown and white mare with a foot and 1/2 long mane. Worst habit is she can get herd bound and attached to her field mates. Its easy to manage, she just doesn't like being alone, if she is around other horses she isn't as upset without her field mates and will behave. She doesn't do anything bad, just will whinny and move around instead of standing still when you tack up. i haven't had alot of trouble managing it, but I like to be honest so people who are interested are aware. She is very sweet and I want her to go to a good home. I have her priced at $4000, she is sound up to date on coggins and shots. I have her barefoot right now, but I had shoes on her last summer.
