14 year old APHA registered Palomino mare, 14.2 hands. Athena is an absolute sweetheart. She may be wary of strangers at first but turns into a pocket pony once she gets to know you. She developed navicular in her front left hoof after stepping on a nail a few years ago that had to be surgically removed. I can provide the vet reports and x-rays. Light riding only or she would make an excellent companion horse or broodmare. She’s had 2 foals before and I was told she was an excellent mother. She is a sensitive mare and therefore I would only recommend her for someone who is experienced. No beginners or novices. She’s currently barefoot and seems to do better barefoot than shod with wedges like most navicular horses require. She walks sound but has noticeable limp/shorter stride at a trot. A good home is a must so I will be asking a lot of questions to anyone who is interested and may request a visit to her new home to make sure it is suitable. I prefer she goes to someone with property where she can be turned out.
