Barbi is an angel... as close to bombproof as you will ever find! She is the perfect beginner horse. She has to be asked to move up to the trot or canter - but once asked she will hold the gait for as long as the rider wants her to. She is not fazed by anything - and I mean anything... power tools, leaf blowers, other horses running around, turkeys flying down right next to her - she will look at stuff but not flinch at all. In the year that I've had her she has not put a foot wrong. Even after being left standing for almost a week! She's just starting her jumping career - she's taking to it very well. She doesn't over jump at all, and regardless of the distance she will make it happen. If you're tired of trying crazy horses that do the unexpected - come try Barbi - she is super sane and very very safe. She has most recently taken a 60 yr old rider for her first ride ever, she has done a lead line lesson with a 3 yr old kid (also first ride) and taken an experienced rider through the 'learning to jump' process. She is a solid western horse too, with years of trail experience. She side steps like a champ - with flashy enough movement to be a super little English horse! Could easily be a great competition horse for a cautious rider too. She is easy to haul, wash, clip, cross tie, and stands quietly while tacking up etc. She will do lunge line lessons and lead line lessons. Genuine reason for selling - I've stopped giving lessons altogether. I kept her the longest but now I'm getting out of horses completely. If you're wanting an easy horse, no need to lunge first, no need to worry about when she was last ridden etc - this is your girl! She is sane, sane ,sane! What a sweet horse!
