Linus has a big beautiful stride and is perfectly collected at the walk, trot, canter/lope. Linus will pick either lead up from a perfect standstill and will stop on dime when asked. He will also complete easy, but correct spins to either direction. His conformation allows for a perfect effortless head set. He is soft in your reins. He’s happy to go in a snaffle or halter for a direct rein or put a western bridle on him for smooth neck reining. Linus will even perform all arena maneuvers BRIDLE-LESS and BAREBACK! Linus goes English and would make a beautiful hunt or equitation horse. HIs big flowy movement makes it easy for any level of rider to ride him! His slow and careful speed and lope departures are smooth and consistent which allows beginner riders the grace to learn.
Linus has spent lots of time on the trail and is confident over logs, brush, water, bridges, and more. Linus is beverage broke to the extreme and loves to casually explore the trails in a relaxed manner. Linus has gathered cattle off of pastures, moved feeder calves down alleyways and opened and closed gates in the stockyards. Linus will also carry a flag, play with the tarp, push the yoga ball, or pull the sled. He is happy to perform any party trick.
Linus would be happy in any type of home or direction, but could excel in the arena as a ranch versatility horse, all-arounder, 4-H or local show horse. Don’t have plans to spend time in the arena? Don’t worry! Linus is happy to continue his career as a trail and pleasure horse, light ranch horse, or just your best buddy!
