Senior owner's been on and off the fence about rehoming 'Portia' for quite a while now, to no fault of hers. 'Portia Cayenne Afire' has many years of professional training. Trained thru second level dressage (schooling third), shown Hunter Pleasure, Halter Classes+ by her previous owner and her trainer. Own Daughter of Champion Stallion 'Justafire DGL' producer of a great many accomplished show winners, and a Granddaughter of Numaa++ (Dam's side). Sweepstakes Nominated. High caliber mare. Was valued at $25,000 when younger. Evaluated on conformation and movement as a prospective PSG, National level horse by international Judges. Don't let her age fool you... Portia is gorgeous looking, athletic and has beautiful movement. She is an easy keeper and doesn't require any special care. No extra maintenance, no medications, injections, etc. Up to date on shots (flu/tet), deworming, hoof trim. Portia just had yearly dental/exam on 10/11/24, and everything looked good. Portia is tidy in her stall and paddock area (she likes to keep clean). Handled and ridden by different ages/levels of riders since we have owned her. Lots of buttons if you know how to ask. When Portia is in sync with her rider, where you look is where she goes. Respectful stall manners, is very well-behaved for grooming, picking up and cleaning her hooves (can hold her foot up with one finger), blanketing, etc. Multiple visits to get familiar with Portia, along with your own pre-purchase exam, trainer evaluation, etc., will be welcome. Portia enjoys being doted over and thrives with attention. She could be ready to show in a short period of time with a dedicated rider. Though Portia has been used by beginners and novice riders with supervision (and instruction), my first choice of new owners is with a confident intermediate rider, a higher schooled rider that can appreciate her past years of training. An assortment of blankets, leather halter with her name engraved, neck cover, leg wraps, hoof boots, misc., go with her. I have videos if you come for a visit (sorry, videos don't send clearly from my phone). $7000, to a great home. *Asking price includes full care board until January 1st. Please call (three-six-zero)366-3631 (land line, no text), for more information. Thank you.
