Dapper
Meet Dapper Dan, Dapper is a chunky, 7yo Percheron/Quarter horse cross. He's a beatiful dappled grey!
Dapper drives awesome and rides great to. He's super traffic safe, highway traffic safe! As we do most of our riding and driving right off HWY 5 in Ava, Mo.
He's got more of the pleasure personality which makes him a great trail or lesson horse for any level rider or driver. We've had grandma's and children ride this guy. My 9yo daughter often trail rides him & loves to walk, trot & canter him.
Dapper is Kid tested and mother approved!
Dapper loves to be leisurely but when asked Dapper will trot and lope. He has a great lope!
Because of his leisurely temperament Dapper would be an ideal horse for a therapy or lesson program.
He stands like a statue to mount with a mounting block, has a great one rein stop/ flex on him. He's soft in the bridle. Has been worked with leg cues as well. Stands great to harness or saddle and is very quiet to hook into the buggy, even if you don't have help to hook up in the buggy he will stand perfect & patient until your ready!
If dapper in turned out in large acerage he's easy to catch, just shake a grain bucket and he will come running! Oh yes, food is the way to this guy's heart!
Dapper ties normal, cross ties, stands for the farrier (we do not put him in stalks) Dapper is hot shod free hand. Dapper loads, hauls quiet, bathes and clips.
Dapper will lead or follow on trails, doesn't rush back to the barn. Will cross water.
Dapper has been around cattle, goats, chickens and other farm animals.
