If you want to stand out, stop traffic and impress judges, look no further. Terry is a solid black forward moving 2015 registered Percheron gelding. He stands 18h but moves with grace, energy and elevation. He has been in constant training for the past 5 years and comes with tons of buttons and a willing, eager to please attitude. I have several people who have worked with him ready to give you unbiased references to his skills and temperament. Just ask. A good home is most important so accepting offers from exceptional homes. He truly does it all. He side passes, leg yields, has both leads, turns on forehand and haunches, opens gates of all sizes and types, stands next to anything to be mounted/dismounted, picks up his feet on command, is good for the farrier, vet & chiro, free lunges just by pointing and loads and hauls like a dream. He can be ridden English, Western, dressage, trail, you name it. He is extremely sensitive and responsive and can even be ridden with nothing but leg. He has energy to go all day with gusto yet the skill and grace to perform intricate maneuvers in a multitude of genres. He is proven in English Pleasure, English Equitation, English Trail, English Discipline, halter, showmanship, western pleasure, western horsemanship, western trail, ranch riding and dressage taking home several high point champion buckles, trophies and tack as well as hundreds of ribbons (most blue or red). He has a forward elevated trot or he can slow jog with the best of the quarter horses. He can canter from a walk with soft balanced transitions and very little leg. In addition to all that, he is schooling 1st level in the dressage ring and placed top 3 in his last dressage series. He oozes charisma. If trail riding is your thing, he can go out alone or in groups. He prefers to lead but will hang back as well. He's very friendly and social with other horses and bravely approaches scary things. He will cross water, bridges and just about anything in-between. He has the stamina to go miles and the best part is it won't take a ton of leg to move him out if you want him to. In fact, he will gladly trot or canter with a slight click of the tongue or shift in the saddle. He also just recently performed in full costume at the 2024 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo where he was chosen to represent the percheron breed and did so perfectly. In addition, he has carried flags, tarps and even 6 foot butterfly wings. He is a crowd favorite and a people pleaser and always searches to give the right answer. He is the trainer's favorite to pony young rank colts. He was driven as a youngster both single and double but would probably need a refresher to be totally reliable at it as he hasn't been driven since 2018. Gets along with anyone. Easy on fencing. UTD vaccines & farrier.
