Bagel is a just turned 4 year old beautiful black Percheron gelding and the sweetest most respectful boy in my barn. He has no vices. Bagel tries his very best to always do what is asked of him. Zero naughty, 100% best boy. Bagel was rescued as a coming 2 year old from a terrible situation which left him temporarily worried about people. Fast forward 2 years ... he is now a stunning, total people guy who just wants to be loved, groomed and to be able to follow his person around all day. He wants a job (however, no work horse people need apply, as that will be a hard NO!). He loves being ridden and played with. He is like a Labrador who doesn't really know he's a ginormous horse. He loads, bathes, ties and stands super well for our farrier, who also is his trainer. No need for stocks. He is a forever kind, sensitive soul who never wants to get in trouble. A wag of a finger has him standing back respectfully. When being lead, he never pulls, but stays right at your shoulder. He is broke to all road noise and equipment. Because of how quickly he was growing, Bagel has only been very lightly started under saddle. He walks, trots and canters with very light contact. He is sensitive to the aides and doesn't need much encouragement to move forward. He has never offered a buck, rear, bolt, spook or any other vice under saddle, but is quite green still. He has been ridden English and bareback and would be well suited for lower level dressage, trail riding and general play. Bagel gets VERY ATTACHED to his person, so I would like him to go to an individual who will cherish him and give him all of the attention he craves. An intermediate rider is best for Bagel, as he is still a young, sensitive and very large guy. With more time under saddle, I foresee him being that horse that anyone can ride. A perfect forever home is what I seek for this very special horse. Right of first refusal is a must as a term of his sale.
