Jana Rio Rojo “Red” is a 2022 AQHA gelding sired by Red Mesa Half Hitch (JP Hancock) and out of Jana B Sharp. Red stands at 14.2 hands high and is still growing. He has approximately 40 rides to date and is progressing very well.

What we've accomplished with him so far includes walk, trot, canter (lope), picking up both leads, speed transitions and he's been exposed to trails, obstacles, and swimming. He is very respectful on the ground, lunges well, picks up his feet easily, and is simple to bathe. Red is the sweetest horse in the barn!

This athletic, well-conformed, and good-minded gelding is calm and not easily spooked. He trusts his rider and will go wherever directed, showing remarkable trust even with limited experience. Red has the potential to excel in various disciplines. From roping, sorting, and ranch trail, to western dressage, barrel racing, hunter under saddle, hunter over fences, and lessons—you name it.

Though young, he promises to be as straightforward to finish training as he was to start. He is as reliable as a 2-year-old can be. He is sound, clean-legged, and comes with a current negative Coggins test. He is also up to date on vaccinations.
