Georgia BOV is a registered, 13.3hh and growing 2yo (05/08/2022, Reg. #35291-22) Haflinger filly. She is by Micah of Blue Mountain and out of Gloria YCH. I’ve owned Georgia for the past year and produced her with the intent she would be a forever member of my herd- unfortunately my long term plans have changed slightly and I’ve decided to offer her only to the very best home that needs a little more blonde in their life! We call her the “Barbie Dream Pony” or “Malibu Barbie Horse”. Georgia is a very modern and flashy example of her breed. I expect her to finish in the large pony to small horse range and boast the same sporty way of going she’s proudly displayed from the beginning. This filly can MOVE. She is curious, goofy, and a bit cheeky, definitely a pony at heart, but as kind and willing as they come. She loves anything that resembles a cookie, playing with my other young horse, and all kinds of human interaction. She can often be found curling her lip and begging passerby’s for attention at the fencelines. Georgia has been appropriately handled and educated for her age. She understands the basics of leading, tying, lunging, loading in the trailer, grooming, and bathing. Georgia has worn a blanket when needed, stands wonderfully for the farrier/vet, and has extensively ponied out on the trails over the hills and through the woods, including across water, logs, and other natural obstacles. She is brave, honest, and generally unbothered by anything I’ve thrown at her the past year including farm equipment, dogs, cows, and more. Georgia will be incredibly easy to start under saddle and gives the feeling of being a “born broke” type. I can see Georgia going in many directions- she’s certainly flashy and talented enough to be successful in sport, but sensible enough to be a loved family horse. If she continues to be produced well, she should be a lovely first pony type for a good riding kid. Georgia is certainly going to be stout enough to be enjoyed by even a taller adult. She is truly a blank slate to produce however you could dream and has no known limitations. Georgia is predictably a very easy keeper who thrives on decent hay and a bit of ration balancer. She is accustomed to spending some time in a dry lot, and has great feet. Have I mentioned she’s stinking cute? I have lots of pictures and videos spanning the last year that I’m happy to share. Georgia is UTD on vet and farrier work, sound, healthy, and I have her registration papers in hand. Located in Middleburg, VA 20117. Serious inquiries only.
