Introducing Luna, a 2016 chestnut quarter horse mare. Luna is the sweetest mare you will ever meet! She does not act mareish at all, and never changes her behavior when she is in heat. She stands around 16.1hh. She is truly a jack of all trades. Luna rides both western and English, with slow western pleasure gaits as well as beautiful extensions for the Ranch and Hunter pen. She has all the buttons for trail and horsemanship, sidepassing, pivots on the hindquarters and forequarters, etc. Luna also rides in a low level drill team and does not mind being ridden in close quarters with other horses. She rides out on the trail like a champ, alone and in a group. Luna has started being used for beginner riding lessons and has been doing great! Taller kids can also ride her easily. She is extremely forgiving, and really wants to do her best for her rider. She is more woah than go, but is still happy to go forward when asked. Luna does have some physical flaws. She has a minor club foot behind and a parrot mouth. Neither issues have bothered her so far. She is sound with consistent shoeing (front shoes, barefoot behind) and consistent work (arena riding/trail riding 4/5 times per week), but can have some lameness if she sits for too long. Luna would make a great addition to a lesson program, or a fantastic family or kid horse. Whether you want to show or just relax on the trail, Luna is the perfect package.
