Gwen is a 12 year old pony mare looking for a new home. She stands 13 hands with a bulky build and can easily take up the leg of an adult (rider in photo is 5'7" and all leg). Gwen has had extensive training for the past 8 years where she has learned all the buttons and flourishes in a working environment. Because of this, I do not recommend her for an up-down beginner. She is quiet and easy to handle on the ground, farrier, vet, cross ties, trailer tying, hauling in for day shows are all a non-issue. UTD on vaccines and current coggins in hand. Not marish, middle of the herd ranks, and can be turned out in mixed field situation. No founder, no maintenance, not even shoes are needed and is an easy keeper. She is sound, safe, and incredibly fun to ride. Hacks out alone on the buckle, loves to trail ride, and is respectful in a group trail ride setting. In the arena, her primary focus has been Eventing where she is most comfortable at the 2’ to 2’3” height. She is lovely and easy in all 3 phases and has a lovely forward step with a stride more of a horse than a pony. Rides the same with 6 days off or 6 months off as she aims to please her rider. She is respectful under saddle and has no buck, bolt, duck, or naughty pony behavior. Gwen is regretfully for sale as I already have an Eventing pony and there aren’t enough hours in the day to fully appreciate Gwen and her talents. Gwen can go any direction, Eventing, Hunters, Jumpers, trail, or even western events, a great all around pony. She is ready for her next adventure with a longtime partner.
