LK Its Cocktail Time is a 2019 AQHA grey gelding that stands 14.3 hands tall. He has an eye-catching color that stands out in a crowd. He has a beautiful, kind, loving eye with a white face and two hind white socks. He is called Cocktail because he is a sweet mix of reining bred and cow bred horses in his pedigree. He is by WimpyneedsaCocktail, a Riata Buckle Stallion which makes Cocktail eligible for nomination, and who is also the highest earning sire by Wimpys Little Step. He is out of One Smart Spook who is by Smart Spook that goes back to Smart Chic Olena and Topsail Whiz on the bottom. With all that talent in his pedigree, he is bound for greatness no matter what he does. He seriously is one of the most carefree, laid back horses we have had, but with that being said, he has no problem turning it up when asked to do so. He was started in a reining barn and knows everything there is to know about reining. He carries himself with pride and he loves to do his job. He spent a lot of time on the outside at the ranch working cows and checking the fence lines. He is not afraid of a full day of work for sure. He has done a lot of pasture roping and will hold any calf no problem. Since he loves to show us all he has, we have also spent time working with him on liberty training. He loves all the attention and loves to move in step with his person. He has the best and one of the smoothest jogs around. He will keep a steady pace without you holding him, and has no problem extending out into a beautiful extended trot. He has a great lead change and moves exceptionally well off your leg and seat which makes it a breeze to take him around bareback and bridleless. He even likes to spend some time under English tack showing a totally different side of himself. Cocktail has also spent a lot of time out on the trail. He will go willingly right off the farm without any hesitation and give you the most relaxing ride around. He trailers very well to any new location and settles right in when he is taken off the trailer. He rides in a group of riders anywhere you choose to go, whether it be the front, middle or rear. You can ride away from the group if you want and he does not hesitate at all. He walks great over creeks and streams and will go through deep water no problem. We do have shoes on him all around because of where we ride and he does great for the farrier. He has been on busy roads with heavy traffic and does not flinch an ear. He is a horse that you do not have to ride everyday if you don’t choose to keep him the same every time you get him out. Cocktail is a truly one of a kind type of horse. If he is the horse that you have been looking for, then please feel free to give Duane Yoder of Buckeye Acre Farm a call @ 330-231-2324
