Alfie is a 4 year old gelding. He was purchased as a yearling and brought along slowly using natural horsemanship techniques. He is very sociable with people, other horses, and a variety of farm animals. He stands quietly for vet and farrier, loads easily, and has no stable vices. He has been ground driven and long lined extensively. He pulls both a travois and a heavy wooden sledge, and is ready to start work with a cart. He has been on lots of trails and will walk through mud, puddles, rivers, and over deadfall. He loves trail riding. Although quiet enough for a beginner, true to his Halflinger personality, he would do better with someone with a little experience. He is smart, curious, enjoys working with you, and is an all-around good guy.
