Cheyenne or Shy is the CUTEST little mare. Cute little mover, cute little temperament, cute little build. She has the personality to match. She is very curious and really tries hard to please you. She has probably the cutest face of anyone on my property at the moment.

Shy is an easy mare to have around. She is turned out with mares and geldings. They are in a dry lot with hay during the day and out on a 30 acre pasture at night. She is middle of the pecking order, she doesn't pick on anyone but doesn't let herself get bullied. She is easy to catch, stands tied or in the cross ties all day. When I brought her home she had to think about loading for a minute but after a little coaxing hopped on. She just hasn't been hauled a ton yet. She is currently 13.2 at her shoulders and 13.3 1/2 at her hips. At 4 she isn't quite done growing but should finish out at the perfect large pony size.

She is up to date on all cares including shots and farrier. When checked this spring she didn't need a dental but my vet recommended checking her again in the fall. She is great for the vet and farrier. I have not had any reason to put shoes on her so she is currently barefoot. We have not had any soundness issues with her whatsoever.

I bought Shy as a project for one of my experience students. She hasn't been around much this summer and the other girls have done a lot work with her but it hasn't been super consistent. I still consider her quite green. She walk-trots nicely but we haven't loped on her yet. She was in a dressage schooling show this past weekend. She did Intro A and Intro B. She was soft and willing throughout the entire ride. She has been ponied on the trails quite a bit but we have not ridden her on the trails yet. I think she has the potential to be a stellar western dressage horse or even open show mount. I do not think she has the potential to be a speed horse or for jumping. Experienced rider is recommended not because she is naughty but because she still has a lot to learn. Her main rider here currently is only 12 but is a very solid rider. She lunges well and will cross our bridge and go through water.

As with the others Shy is only for sale because I need the funds to expand my barn for my lesson program. I am sure it won't take long for someone to scoop her up as she's the right size, the right color, the right age and hasn't had her legs ridden off.
