Buttercup is a great horse for English or Western Pleasure, or trails. She is a great fun all-around horse. She is a lovely mover and has a lot of suspension in her gaits. She is not spooky and has great brakes, but I would not recommend her for an absolute beginner. She has just a little bit too much energy for someone learning to post the trot or to canter for the first time.
