Leo is a homebred 16.1h+ 7 year old Shire TB cross gelding. This lovely guy is every amateurs dream. He has been started, trained, and shown by his amateur owner/breeder. Leo has a solid dressage foundation and is currently schooling second level movements. He has shown through first level with scores consistently in the mid-high 60’s. Leo is the same horse at home or a show, including big busy venues like Waterloo Regionals. Leo has a lovely effortless jump with plenty of scope. While he is still a little green jumping, his owner has focused more on dressage, this solid foundation and eager to please mentality makes him very straightforward jumping. He has also schooled all of the basic XC questions. Leo also hacks out, trail rides, has done hunter paces, ponied horses, and worked with cows. He has spent the majority of his life living on a small family farm surrounded by young children. His owner mainly hauls for lessons and occasionally has left him at a trainers farm for a couple of months each year to allow her access to more consistent lessons. Leo is as SAFE as they come and does all the things, loading, hauling, clipping, standing for vet/farrier, bathing, etc., and is UTD on everything. He has always been barefoot, has no soundness issues, no current maintenance, and no vices.
