Meet SS Quartz, your future star of the western dressage (or English!) or working equitation world, that can show one day and then take you out in the back country to gather cattle the next. This talented young mare has the handle for the rider that wants to work off their seat and has their sights on a horse with the athletic talent for the upper level movements. Quartz is owner/breeder owned. She has been shown at the Arabian breed shows in ranch riding, ranch trail, and western dressage. She has been to a working equitation clinic, as well as other off site events and lessons. Quartz has been ridden seriously, but has also been ridden bareback in a halter out in the pasture. She is more than just your working partner, she is your buddy! During schooling sessions, she has been worked in the snaffle, as well as being started one handed in a curb. She will go on contact, but can also ride in a longer frame. She relishes all elements of lateral work, can canter to halt, lope off from a walk, wants to have a talented turn around, counter canters with ease, lifts into a lovely collected trot, and has an uphill way of going that makes your heart skip a beat. Besides that, she is incredibly smooth at all gaits. She has the temperament of a border collie and loves figuring out what you are asking her to do. Quartz has spent most of her life turned out in a large pasture setting in a group. She has been stalled during more focused show geared periods of her life. She is an easy keeper, and ranks higher up in her social settings. She stands tied without issue, is easy to clip, loads right into the trailer, and stands tied for the farrier. She has been exceptionally sound and does not require maintenance. If you are a horseman in need of a REAL horse, don't miss the chance at meeting this fancy girl. She's not your dude string plunker or the mount for a meek rider. She's a go-getter, put a smile on your face, get that cow, feel the collection and elevation kind of girl!
