Poppy is a three year old (turns 4 in March) Connemara Cross large pony that I have raised since she was born. Her mother went on to be a very successful hunter show pony with a 10-year-old girl. She is the site after size of just a little over 14 hands. I have started her myself, and she has a balance carriage, not downhill, but with a perfect natural carriage of her head and neck. Poppy is smooth, takes her leads and trot over cross rails. She was raised with a 5 acre turnout daily and nighttime in the paddock or stall. She stands for the Ferrier clips, ties,,and trailers. I can’t say enough about the way she rides – comfortable, light mouth, slow canter, and very teachable. She is my easiest, favorite ride.
