Presenting Captain, a Shire/TB cross gelding (eligible for AWB registry) who the dressage judges already love! He has only been to one show, but won both of his classes, also receiving the high score award for all classes for the day. Captain has been in professional training and under saddle for about 6 months. He was started western, hacking out in roads and fields, and more recently has been getting polished up in the ring. He is working Training/First Level Dressage and is a quick learner and is eager to please. He has also been popped over some small fences and took to it as if he’d been doing it his whole life. However because he is still growing, jumping has not been a focus of his training. Captain has never met a horse, person, or animal of any type that he doesn’t want to be best friends with. He is a huge puppy dog and loves attention. Absolutely no vices, easy to handle. Captain has no buck/rear/bolt and is very safe, but is sensitive, forward thinking, and looks to his rider for confidence, so does require an experienced rider. He has been used lightly in my lesson program with different advanced adults so has been ridden by several people and been great. He is very good on trails with other horses, and does also hack out alone with a rider who can lend him confidence. https://youtu.be/97w7UaF2zik?si=OU3Z1wiNNcTmHOEE
