Proudly presents Southern Blue Grasshopper. Grasshoppers is a 4-year-old Missouri Foxtrotter gelding that stands 15’1 and is a bred, born, and trained horse from here at 4Ps Ranch. Grasshoppers is a fun gelding you can take anywhere, and he is still learning daily. He is good in traffic, stands for the farrier, loads and backs out of the trailer, and is gentle and willing. We have used him to gather cattle and loose horses on pasture, used him at a sale barn, and has been on multiple trail rides. He has not been on an overnight ride yet but is ready. He rides in the front, middle, or rear. He has been ridden the majority of his time by himself. If he sees something that is really scary, he will look. Once he recognizes it and sees it is not a threat, he walks right on and is quiet. Grasshopper is very athletic and has an excellent 4-beat gait and wonderful canter! He yields off leg pressure and picks up both leads when going into a canter. He will walk with your quarter-horse friends or get in gait and walk on out. Grasshopper has a tiny, small dot in his right eye from a sticker 2 years ago. It has healed great, and he has no problems with vision; it is shown on his pre-purchase exam. Grasshopper has great feet and is very sure-footed. He is sensitive and does not need a heavy hand. He is not a babysitter yet at this time in his life, so if you’re a timid rider and are scared of horses, then he is not for you. He will fit you great if you’re halfway confident and can ride! He has no buck or rear…never has. Grasshopper is very athletic and can move, which I absolutely love because he will not be dull and boring. The great thing about him is he is quiet with all the attributes of performance. This is a nice horse and is only going to get better!! He is ready for his next chapter in life and many trails!!
