"Swiftie" is a 9-year-old sorrel Quarter Pony mare. Just shy of 14H, she sells grade, but she is 100% purebred Go-Pony! Swiftie is an absolute dream for any little kid who wants to go fast. She would make an excellent step-up horse for a youth ready to start winning at junior rodeos or Little Britches or 4H gymkhanas or playdays. My kids have won some money on her, and her previous owners took her to the Ohio State High School Rodeo Finals where she won the state goat-tying buckle. She is completely sound, sane, and healthy, with no vices. She can do 4H pleasure classes and collect and pick up the correct leads, but she is much happier at speed events. She can be ridden bareback with a halter and leadrope across the pasture, or draped in rustling costumery for the Homecoming parade. She crosses water and bridges and goes alone or in a group. She leads, follows, and gets along great with every horse in the pasture. She has an exuberant puppy-dog personality, galloping up to greet you and following you everywhere. She LOVES attention and thrives in chaos, making her the perfect horse for an active family. She is strong and stocky built, so she is a handy size for an adult too. She's an enthusiastic trail partner, and you don't have to tear your pants trying to get on! Swiftie is probably better for a rider with some experience; while she's never mean and has certainly never bucked, she gets excited and will run right past a barrel if she's not actively being steered. She doesn't spook at ANYTHING, but she's so forward and frisky that she can intimidate a less confident rider. She'll walk into the ring flat-footed, but she'll bound into action at the slightest permission. Swiftie has never known bad care; she has always stayed totally UTD on shots, farrier, teeth, and the highest quality feed. She has a new set up shoes, although she has wonderful hard hooves and goes just fine barefoot. Located in Fishtail, MT. Vet checks welcomed at buyer's expense.
