Zulu is an exceptional athletic and smart horse; he was going up the levels in eventing until an accident caused by fireworks made him lose an eye. After his accident he recovered and continues to be a great horse to ride, mostly in the arenas, he is a talented jumper doing gymnastics, grids and courses easily up to 3'. He loves the XC course, has schooled at Woodside and loves galloping in the open, enjoys trail rides on roads or wider trails where he can be aware of his surroundings. He requires awareness of his blind side when handling and riding him, so he is only recommended for experienced handlers and riders or student riders with a trainer. He prefers pasture with other geldings or night stall and day turnout, he does not do well being cooped most of the day as he gets anxious. He is sound, healthy, trailers easily and gets along with other horses, loves pasture living, is very sweet with people and loves treats. Current on vaccines, deworming and Dental work, wears 4 shoes and does well with half shoeing too. Looking for a home as the person who had him was going to put him down due to lack of resources to take care of him. Price is negotiable for the right living situation for Zulu.
